Andrew Simko

A retired (original Madmen) advertising art director and creative director.

After graduating from Carnegie Mellon, worked at a number of advertising agencies from Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Minneapolis, and Boston—creating print and TV campaigns for many clients, including a notable one for Iron City Beer and Old Frothingslosh.

After 50 years in the business, retired and started painting again. Enjoys doing oil painting, bringing out the colors and lighting in landscape scenes.

A lot of his work is based on travels to France, Italy, and California, as well as living in New England.

As an assistant instructor, he taught an oil painting class at the Duxbury, MA Art Museum.

He has had exhibits at various locations on the South Shore of Boston.
